WHAT DO YOU DO AND WHAT IS YOUR ROLE?

I’m one of the founders of @TheHungryPost - a 360 platform that recommends restaurants in Miami – so if you like good food and want to know where to find it then nice to meet you!
If you want to keep up with the food scene in Miami, you can find our recommendations on social media, subscribe to our weekly newsletter, or come to our monthly events.
I do a little bit of everything, but I’m more focused on the business development side of the project: creating partnerships, finding revenue lines, developing new ideas, securing sponsors and all of that good stuff that make companies grow

My real day time job is with the Digital Business Development team at Univision. I used to do experiential marketing for Univision and worked on all of the sponsored activations around Award Shows, but i recently got this new opportunity with the Digital team and i took it! Who doesn’t love a new challenge? I’m still figuring out the new role but my team is basically in charge of making Univision.com be a profitable business

WHAT IS THE ONE THING BEING A RAW MEMBER HAS TAUGHT YOU?

Raw has taught me the importance of taking time to work on yourself as a human being, to understand who you are, and discovering who you want to be. I’m so busy all the time, always looking for the next business opportunity, the next management course, the next challenge… and rarely take the time to stop and think about the things that I need to work on for my well-being, for myself. How can I be a better person? A better friend? What’s my purpose? Where do I find happiness?
With Raw Residency, I’ve not only found a space to work on all of these through amazing events and experiences (that actually fit my schedule - LOL), but a group of incredible women that have come together for the same purpose and are on the same journey.

WHAT ARE YOU 3 MUSTS?

1. Choose the top 3 projects/tasks for the day – The to-do list will only grow forever. You NEED to prioritize 3 things a day and accomplish them every day – Even if one of them is going to the supermarket to do groceries. This will give you a sense of purpose and accomplishment. You won’t have any of those days where you feel you “didn’t accomplish anything” but rather a constant reminder that you are doing your best.
2. Turn -off the phone for a couple of hours during the day – Social Media, Whatsapp, imessage, thousands of pop-up notifications can take your whole day and you won’t even notice. Turn off all distractions (aka cellphone) and see how those 2 hours become the most productive hours of your day.
3. Have a fulfilling breakfast – I’m a different person before and after breakfast. Breakfast is a MUST and it needs to be yummy enough so that I look forward to getting out of bed (I’m a good deep sleeper)

WHAT ARE YOUR WORDS TO LIVE BY?

“Remember why you’re doing this” is my go to mantra all day every day. Sometime we get caught up in the little things, the difficult discussions, the physical exhaustion, the rejections, and we just need to take a step back and see the bigger picture. Remind yourself every day WHY you’re doing the things you’re doing, and if you can’t find an answer that makes you happy, then you should stop.

Other mantras that I’ve learned at RAW that I LOVE:
“Nothing happens to you, it happens for you”
“Do and think from a place of love”
“Accept  your family for all there is”
